I know on the 93 models they had a thing called speed density. Can anyone explain to me how this works. I would like to get a simpler way of keeping track of A/F ration rather than the MAF. I'd like to put a ram air hood on eventually but for now just stick a K&N directly on the front of the intake. Also I remeber hearing that speed density was something you could tune like with a laptop... is this true?

Speed Density was 89-92 on TPI cars, the LT1 started in 93 and used a similar PCM, but not quite the same. I don't reall understand from your post what you are trying to do.... as for the laptop, an EFI set up can be set up for a laptop, but not with a stock PCM. Try and say what direction you want to go in and I'll try to be more help.

The MAF doesn't have anything to do with A/F, thats the O2 sensor. :conf:
