I've definitely noticed how high prices are out there, especially while looking at houses sporadically. Its over $200k to live in a trailer in some areas. My aunt lives out there (has a house in Newport Beach and one Indian Wells). She told me to come out the weekend of my 18th birthday and she'd show me what its like. My aunt has 5, she's a lucky person. (She owns one in the town in NY, 2 in CA, 1 in FL, and 1 in the Bahamas).

I'd settle with just one house in any of those places. Though, the one in upstate NY would be kinda cold in the winter. Its extremely beautiful in the summer - we spent many summers there at a place called Five Mile Point. My one cousin lived in NorCal for awhile. She told me it's alright, but almost as if it should be separate from SoCal because of the different lifestyles. :shrug:

Her and her husband actually said if I was desperate enough, they'd talk about jobs as well (which I definitely need ... broker than broke right now, lucky my car is still running and I'm able to put gas in it!)

I guess we'll see. I'll probably be going to college in the south (the east coast south), so wherever life takes me is how its gonna be. :) I just hope it'll eventually take me out there.

I've gotten sick of my parents telling me I dream too high and too far for what will ever happen. I'll still be determined to be there one day. Who knows, maybe it wont be anything like I expected.

Unfortunately things change I've learned ... I've had to accept I wont be moving back to Jersey this summer. That kinda sucks. So I might just be the "dust in the wind" type - it might be more interesting that way.

I've told them that. Their response was "If you dont dream so high you wont be so let down in the end." I guess it has a point, but I'm not convinced to stop dreaming what I want.
