Today in Marine Bio, we had to figure out why the needle in the Salinity Meter was raised when in salt water, and pointing down in freshwater. At least 3/4 the class said it was because salt water is more dense, therefore holding the less dense object above it. The teacher will not tell us whether we are right or wrong, and when we say it that way, he tells us to put it in "3-cent terms" aka terms someone dense in the head would need them explained in.

I get what you're saying, and we even pointed that out. But he told us he doesnt care how much salt content was in it, he just wanted to know why the needle was pointing up. We told him because of salt, and he kept asking why. When we say density or displacement, all he does is say "well you have to explain it in layman's terms." :mad: GAHHHHH. and this is only the 3rd day of the course :(

Nothing much really ... got a wakeup call at 11, went back to sleep until 2, went to meet my mom at that hair place at 3:30 but when I was pulling into the parking lot she called me and said the woman cant do it today but can do it Friday instead.
