Well that is not what I paid...$630.00 for a built 700r4. Its for a V-6, but he built it with additional clutches like a v-8. Basically except for the bellhousing they are the same tranny. GM just built the v-6 version weaker. So I have all the goodies like he would build for a v-8 car w/ 400-500 hp!

besides I own a few Fords, they are slow for the most part but they do make a good truck. The last good engine they made was the 70-73 351 Cleveland. I have 3 of them, two 4 barrel headed and one 2 barrel. My First car was a 67 Cougar with a 289. Slow as hell. 2nd car was a 72 GTO with a 400 automatic. Much much faster! I hate the sound of an unmuffled 4 cyl. I hate 4 cylinders anyway. I have only owned one, it was traded to me for some rocker arms. It was an 84 VW GTi, one of my friends drove it alot and raced countless ricers with it. He was undefeated vs other 4's. I still hate em, and I am glad it finally died...

must have been the driving cause i have had both and the mustang was most definatly faster. the mustang 5.0 is about par with the 350 tpi. Oh and CG we broke into the top ten posters in this thread

I have been owning 5.0's since I got my first GTO, the 70 stomps the snot out of them, and only one of my F body's have been slower, its a 74 Formula 350. I never did any speed stuff to it. I dont own a 3rd gen yet. But I have a 4th gen now.
