Where is the VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor

I have an 88 Iroc-Z with the 305 tpi, Borg warner T-5 5speed tranny. where is the VSS?

On my 85 camaro the VSS is located on the back of the speedometer. behind the instrument cluster.

an 88 has a cable that runs from the tranny up to the speedo
the VSS is right beside where the cable attaches.
