Thump.....

Hey guys, got another question....

I have an 87 firebird 305 automatic. If Im at a dead stop and hit the gas I hear a thump coming from the back. When I had the car up on jack stand the other day I noticed when I spun one wheel the other wheel was delayed.

I have a feeling this will cost some $$$

i had thump noise happen when i had a broken tranmission mount. but what of rear end Posi or is it a open rear end?
