hi. can anyone recommend me a good insurance company in the tristate area (NY, NJ, CT). It seems all the companies I've tried so far dont insure camaros(wtf is their problem anyway).

btw I'm 18, and i have no previous insurance history, i've had my license for 1 year and have no violations or accidents.

thanks,
Alec

okay listen up, progressive will take you if you dont have insurance yet, its half the price if you get you parents to insure and register it as their car, then put you on as a driver then legally they have to do it. The insurance companies that turned you down must leaglly pick u up, ur parents are responsible for u until ur 21. if your in the tristate if that car has an 8 cylinder in it expect to pay 5-7000 a year w/ your rents insurance(full coverage), with out your parents 10+. Just keep in mind if you race, you hurt someone they will lose everything until ur 21yrs. old

thanks for the info. i kind of knew that, i just wanted to insure it on myself so i wouldnt have to worry about raising my dads insurance rates if something happened. i'm definetely not racing on the street, cuz insurance in this state is no joke. but i am thinking of getting the car registered and insured in another state.

Hope that helps but of course with this there are rules....

Agreed Value* coverage - your vehicle's full insured value is protected in the event of total loss, with no depreciation (less any applicable deductible) Flexible miles - you're not limited to "parades only." Enjoy driving your collector vehicle up to 2,500 annual miles. A 5,000 mile tier is available in most states for an additional premium. Ask your American Collectors representative for details. Zero deductible - unless you've chosen a higher deductible, you'll have no out-of-pocket expense in the event of a claim. The American Collectors "Real Person" guarantee - whenever you call us at (800) 360-2277, you'll always have the option of getting a real person on the phone during our business hours (M-F, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm ET).

feel bad for you man. I live in Ohio and pay 38 a month. could be less but i choose payments. I'm in college and have two tickets but the rates never went up. I'm still sharing insurance though and I'm only a "part time" driver. prob when i get my own and put on my g/f it will be 350 a month. :eek3: she is high risk. I might make her walk instead of pay that rate. :banghead: she drives like an idiot and gets caught. i drive stupid but know where the cops are. You decide who deserves to drive.

Why would you feel bad my cars not a everyday driver,it has 50K and is a 86 all original except for the cam and 3" exhaust, plus i dont think $82.00 a year is bad of course thats $6.83 a month to cover my car for exactly what the appraisal is for $11,000
