When replacing my carb a few days ago I found this this near it and it was all broken and beaten up.

looks like a temp sensor.

where did it come from, and its certainly NOT the PCV

It is not a pcv valve. It is a temp sensor that controls vaccuum to an emmissions component. I think it is for the A.I.R reaction setup. the air pump circuit.

t.v.s. (thermo vacuum switch) for the egr or efe probably what do the hoses go to? or its a threaded pcv valve

now that i look at it closer. it is most definietly NOT a pvc valve.
this sensor screws into the thermostat housing, it sould have two little tubes sticking off of it, but as u can see one is broken off.

rayven, it looks like somebody replaced it and didnt throw the old one away. so dont worry about it.

ok so i was deffiantly WRONG haha....It looked like it at first glance.....i just replaced mine yesterday.

I found the part at a local autozone but now I'm wondering what hooks up to it, there was only one thing attached to it obviously since the other part was broken off of it. What else is it supposed to be attached to and does anyone have a picture lol

in not one hundred percent sure. but i think birdman has it right. it has something to do with emmissions.
