02 sensor (export model ????) Please help

Hi there,
My 91 RS (5.0lt TBi) has been off the road for a while now as I can't find an O2 sensor for it. I'm in the uk and the car was imported to the uk from Japan but has a totally obscure O2 sensor. It looks nothing like the one that should be on the car.

Does anyone know if they made a different spec for export cars. The exhaust appears to be the original as it is very low mileage.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I honestly couldn't tell you if there are different specs for exported cars. But, what companies sell parts in UK (like Bosch, AC Delco, etc.)? Is there a part number anywhere on the old oxygen sensor?

It seems that you should at least be able to go to a GM dealer and explain your problem, and see what they have to say.

There are no GM dealers over here who would know anything about my car. The sensor doesn't have any numbers on it which is odd. I will take the old one to a Bosch dealer and see what they think. Thanks for replying.

Everything comes from the same factory in america when the car is built., There are no different specs except for the road rules such as lighting, license plates, mirrors, etc.

If the car came from Japan, more than likely it has been replaced with a sensor not meant for the car.
