I recently broke the plastic bracket inside my rear hatch motor. I went and got a knew motor with a new bracket and replace it, in the process of taking the old one out I touched the rear hatch light and the pad that makes contact with the hatch so it knows when the hatch is all the way down. This blew the blub and maybe more. I just took the old broken bracket of the orginal motor and replace with the one off the junk car. WIth everything installed the motor isnt working the electric pop locks as in i can unlock the hatch from inside put the motor doesnt work. I thing i might have fried a circuit or something. Any help you can give me to remedy the situation i would greatly appreciate.

Check for a blown fuse under your dash.

Yeah i checked the fuse and everything works that is on the same fuse, like the horn and interior lights. Could i have short out the motor or maybe some sort or circuit. I know that some wiring was circuits in case of a overload, does the hatch motor have one?
