Want to get a 383...need your opinions

Hey guys,
Time to swap out the 305 to something more potent.
I am looking at the following engine on ebay:

What are your opinions? Is it good for the price?
They will be building me an efI version of this engine
for $3600.
Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

Of course if you get somthing with that kind of power you will have to strengthen the frame with some subframe connectors. You will also have to upgrade the exhaust, maybe the 3 inch pipe with the flowmaster 80 series, possibly true dual exhaust if you beef up the engine a little more than it's advertised. I found a local shop here in south MS that will do that for 450.00. You also might think of upgrading the rear end, the stock ones in the 3rd gen camaro wont hold up very well especially if you run slicks at the track, or have a standard transmission. So think seriously about the 383. I have an 80 camaro at the moment with the 383, 12 bolt posi .373 gears, th 350 trans with a 3000 stall. All of which I am about to drop in an 86 camaro myself, so i have been researching all of this. Good luck!
