the 89 RS after a washing this afternoon. It was caked in road salt. Note the instant ice lol.

dont know whether to restore it cuz the vinyl is cracked really bad on the seats or just replace it with the old RS's grey. I sorta like the camel color. It's different.

Deffinately a good score erin!

I'm not so sure on the tan myself, i assume its an "in person" thing.

The pics do no justice for the outside. When we got home I pulled off the mudflaps and inner wheel wells just to see if we missed any rust and to my surprise, just a leaf. It was spotless under there. The under side had like 7inches of undercoating put on it and everything seems to be in great shape. Had a hard time getting it on the trailer. Low front nose, bald tires with snow on them and a smooth steel ramp are not friends lol. were lucky the whole trailer tilted back. On the way home we had no problems eather. I was surprised my Ranger pulled it perfectly. Never even downshifted, had more then enough power, but we did get flicked off once by a truck driver. Its kinda hard to lay on the brakes with 4500-5K pounds behind you when a truck is looking to merge on , on a one lane road. He have us the finger and horns. I gave a beep beep back lol.

looks nice. i can't wait to actually see it, though.

i think you should keep the existing seats, only get them reupholstered in gray. i really don't like the highback buckets that were in the old car, they look like the belong in an economy car... not a camaro.

i vote swap in grey interior

since im new...
what did happen to the 91 rs?
if i had to guess from the pic id say it was stolen

i vote for the grey, but i don't like tan/camel interiors

very sorry about the loss. my first camaro although didn't rust out (except for under the rear bumper- i think all of them rust there) , i had replaced so many things in it and it still needed more, when someone broke into it and jacked up the dash for my cd player. i finally had to sell it b/c i couldn't handle not having a car when it would break n my parents wouldn't let me get a daily driver

Hey Erin,

Brian would like to know if you still have the wire harness from your parted out RS... He is in need of the male connector that goes to the speedo hookup on the tranny he bought from you.

(He already has it installed in his truck, he's attempting to finish a few details like the electrical connections and the lengthening of his drive shaft.)

Let me know...

Thanks,
Mark

Ah, great... I'll enclose a pic below so you know which one he needs. It should be an oblong male connector with a locking clip on it.

Do you still have his email address? You should probably ask him about the time frame...

Thanks! :D

Well we got alot done on sunday. I kept saying I'm going to stop but I ended up taking damn near everything off. We threw away her panhard bar, swar bar, lower control arms, exhaust and shocks which I closed by hand with 2 fingers lol. Suckers were rusted solid. Were going to paint her rear this week and install new shoes, a fancy chrome cover for her and refill with mobil 1. Then drop the tank and install the new 255 pump for the TPI. TBI pump wont support it. Then we need to move up to redo all her lines since gas is pouring out like a mofo. Good thing she kept her old SS lines. From then on we move to tranny to install a transgo kit and new motor mount since her old mount is literally in 2 pieces and the DS is slamming the bottom of the tranny tunnel. I am going to post pics of that this week since I know you guys like to see carnage. :) BTW I hate undercoating. Shit is so black and thick, I know have black hair lol

Let me know when its good for you. Erins off next monday if you and her want to go. I have to work 3-8 that day i think.
