I am still battling with the undeniable issuse of a problemed 3rd Gen Camaro. The car is equipped with the VATS system. I have problems witht he car not wanting to start up like it is supposed to after extended periods of usage. If I make a 10 minute trip, it usually takes about 10 minutes to get the car to restart after shutting it off. I have the engine computer sitting in the passenger floorboard to try different things like unplugging it and re-plugging it back in. Along with various other things like smacking the ecm, the only thing that seems to be helping in the problem is good old fashioned patience and a good battery.

My bigest quirk is the hard to restart thing, but another problem I am having is the heater blower wont turn off until about 10-15 seconds after the key is turned off.

If anyone can help me out with these problems, please reply so I can get this figured out.

see if you can swap relays for it. does it stick only when yo turn the car off, or any time you turn it off even w/ar running?

It only does it when I have it on HIGH and then shut the car off. Any other setting and it shuts right off. Also, I have noticed that it does not blow that hard to begin with. It gets air moving around but nothing like I am used to.

backprobe the voltage to teh blower motor, and also check on teh high speed resistor/relay.

If anyone is able to offer any other suggestions, please help me out. I would even consider going to an aftermarket EMS to get this thing going like it should be.

Please help me out, or would I be better off getting a small block and a turbo 350 or 700r4??

thanks in advance

how would a motor swap help? unless you bypass the whole vats thing..........which reminds me of a bypass kit that i'm not using..........

What do you want for the bypass kit?
