first off i think its completely kick ass that this forum has a section specifically for us berly boys, unlike thirdgen.org.

anyway heres the skinny: i bought my '84 from a friend for $200. not a bad deal minus the fact it dosent run. he left the driver window partially down one occasion and the digital display is completely screwed. i would like to keep the digital display but im not sure if i should try and fix it, get a new dispplay(somehow) or just throw in a guage cluster from covans classics. any help at all would be greatly oppriciated since i asked this same question on thirdgen and got no replies!

if it means anything i may need a whole new wiring harness, the ones in the engine definetly not in prime condition.

Best advice I can give you is to goto a junkyard and get a new dash... or Ebay if you can afford it... There is also another Berlinetta guy... I can't think of his name who is on thirdgen who buys old dashes, tests them, cleans thema nd resells them...

I found his website...

Check there for more parts... hope this helps!

Thats correct... it just flashes at you... I really couldn't tell you how fast I've gone in my car other than I had it Redlined in OD

damn thats gay. well i definetly have plans to go faster than that in mine so i guess the digitals gotta go. i dont feel like getting pulled over for 120mph not knowing i was going that fast!

ive been looking at these clusters on covansclassic.com and found one i like. but i was wondering if the loom from the gauges would still hook up to the stock loom since it will be going from a digital system to mechanical gauges? i think it will but im not sure.

check it out:

now if i put in new cluster what would become of the button panels on the sides of the steering columb? do you think they would still be useable, or is it like one whole piece and if i took the digitals out they would go too?

Don't really know... I know a few of em would be useless but some should still work...
