they got a couple 05 mustang GT models in, and invited me down to test drive one.
so i went down to mark thomas ford yesterday (wednesday) and test drove a red mustang GT. the same dealer i bought my truck from.
it is simply awesome. managed to get it up to 80 without realizing i was actually going that fast down route 11. the exhaust note sounds pretty good as-is. you turn the steering wheel, and it's right there. mat the throttle in any gear (within reason) and this car will pull hard.
the only thing i do not like about the car, is the stock shifter. it left me hunting gears for a bit, and in actuality, the 5 speed in my 02 s10 feels tighter and more positive as far as shifting. it also sits too low in the console for my tastes. we'll see what the aftermarket does as far as parts.
if you get a chance, test drive one.
