Saw the new Jegs catalog and saw the Magnaflow Stainless system for LT1's for around $389 3in Pipe with duel 3.5 outlets. What would this sound like? Anybody have any experience with this system??
(Yes Chris, GMMG is still in the back of my head but its hard to justify $700 never hearing it on a car before lol)

My dad's 96GT has a MagnaFlow on it. The car still has the stock sound, just a lot louder - but not crazy loud. Very live-able. I would imagine that the rest of their brand is similar.

I've got the Magnaflow muffler on my Berlinetta as well. I'm pretty happy with it.

just buy this SLP Loud mouth I have and replace the Straight pipe muf SLP used with a Bullet style muff.
I bet it would quiet it down a little and still sound great. :)

Chris, think a 3ft 3in chambered muffler in the intermediates pipe place would sound good with the loudmouth?

I planed to run either a borola XR1 or a Moroso bullet or one of the stainless works chambered ones.
The loud mouth sounds good as is Just needs to be a tad quieter. Then again I have no cat on this car either. so with a cat It might sound good at idle.

i think that would sound really sharp on the 383, matt. i'd see how it sounds as-is with your convertor, then maybe add a bullet muffler later or whatever suits your fancy.

That's exactly what I did. I replaced the resonator with a Dynomax Bullet and it sounds a lot better now. Still roars at WOT but relatively quiet around town at part throttle. Also minimized the popping on deceleration.
