Well We took the driver side 1/4 panel off and that hole we showed you was small compared to what we found. The driver side rocker is GONE and all soft underneigh. theres another huge hole that leads inside. We pulled her carpet back on the driver side corner and there is a huge rust hole in her floor pan all along the rocker on the side to about the seatbelt. You can see right to the ground all along the ust. About a inch gap along the floorboards. As it gets closer to the front t expads to about 2 inches. Where the wires are attached on the inside of the car the wire holder plug has fallen out due to the rust eating up the inside of the shell The rust is eating up the side of the door frame as well. sorta like eating towads her hood release We pulled the carpet more behind the pedals and there were rust holes behind there leading to the outside. We didnt even do the passenger side yet. Opinions? We have no welder, no cutting tools, and NO experience with body work. We have rachets and hammers.

That Sucks! I don't know. Wrenchin's my thing too. I'd be pretty damn disgusted right about now.

We are disgusted. I say get a rust free donar car. Cheaper in the long run. Hell we havent even took off the other 1/4 yet. Hell if you could find a car like mine. 85k miles and not 1 ounce of rust or anything with a blown motor could be bought for 1000-1500. That to me is the wise decision

Yeah, I gotta agree. That's probably the same route I'd take. Much less hassle!

:( Sorry to see it so bad. I will keep my eyes open for you. I'd Also like to help fund the new one you find.

How much do you want for your complete front clip. Fenders, bumper cover, lower GFX,headlight bucket and The rear Bumper Cover?

Thats if you deside to part it out. At this point thats what it looks like :(

man, that does suck Erin. Sorry to see that.

Finding a nice shell seems like the best thing to do...but i'm not sure what the best thing to do regarding the RS is.

Instead of pulling all the stuff out of the RS, you could sell it as a whole. If you didn't realize it was this bad until now...

If you found a perfect shell, in theory all it would need is your drivetrain and then yuo would be stuck trying to get rid of a "shitty" shell. May be worth it in th elong run to sell the RS as is and get another motor for a shell car. That way you build the motor exactly how you want it and don't have to deal with any previous owner driveline modifications.

What do you guys think as options. Part out, get money, put another 2K together and get a nice car. Found an 89 IROC Mint Red 350 T's with 89K on it. BONE stock he wanted 5500 OBO. Get something like that and put a ATI on it and be done, or go through the hasle of buying another prodject car and trying to piece together stuff, fix it then get it painted. (I would buy the car ready to drive lol)

at the point that is. Your talking LOT OF WORK. and I know you guys arnt the type not to tell somebody who bad it is if you were to sell it complte. I know I coldnt not tell someone. Even if it was $ in my pocket.

Then again do you have the time and space to part it out. If I didnt have this 94Z here Im parting out I cold offer you some space and help. :(

Why not try and find a nice car with a blown motor. Did you guys just rebuild erins? or did yo leave it as is when you bought it?

Deff. keep me posted on parts. I'll take everything I silsted uptop.

We have a 1/2 of a car garage. Thats it. Erins motor we bought complete. Great oil presure and everything. Dont know how many miles though. We need new injectors for it.

we have no sanders or anything. Just rachets and hammers. Wished we had a large area to work on and alot of tools. Also its bad cause we use erins grandmas garage and they have there volvo parked in there as well so its not like we can kick them out in the winter. erin was toying around with buying abody and storing it away but like 2camaros had in the past, the price is about 125 a month for storage. Its just not cost worthy, but were still reviewing options

If you need to store a body somewhere, a friend of mine has an old barn that he's got a junk car or two parked in. It'll keep it dry atleast.

I can talk to him for ya, he probably wouldn't want any cash, or maybe just a few bucks or something.

hte barn is really bad looking, but its a roof over the car's head.
