I got an 84 2.8 as a beater. It was throwing the MAF sensor code and the speed sensor code. I replaced the MAF sensor and the relay. All the wiring is good. It still throws the code. The speed sensor is at fault because the speedo cable is fubared. Also when the CE light does come on it more or less will die unless I keep a little on the gas at a dead stop. It's a five speed too. The car was a $100 bucks, so help me keep this a cheap beater that won't die on me all the time. TIA.

Skatepunk 60 is correct, the mpfi sixes didn't come out until 85. THose charts he listed look a lot like the ones on my cardomain SITE (http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/325040/7) taken from the 1985 service manual.
I have the whole book available, so if you need any other 85 code, 4,6, or 8cyl engine, let me know.
