Can a cop clock you on the radar gun if his car is moving? Or does he have to be stationary for the gun to read correctly?

Thats what I had thought. But my cousin had told me that her friends parents know a cop and he told her that they can't clock you if they are moving. Sounded kinda bogus to me, because I recieved a verbal warning from a cop for speeding and he was going in the opposite direction on a two lane highway. (He pulled a "U'ie" and pulled me over). Just trying to get the facts straight. Thanks firecop!
The only time they can't clock you is when you're both moving the same direction. Otherwise, we can clock you all day long while moving.

TC I thought the newer radar was able to clock you if you were coming up from behind. As long as there is relative motion then the gun will work.

I thought radar couldn't clock from 90* either. (if I'm going down the road and the cop is at an intersection facing my side)

If two cars were moving at 50mph at each other, wouldn't the radar read 100mph? Does the unit somehow take into it's figures by the cruisers speed?
