I'm wondering if there is anything that I can do to 'tighten' the steering in my car. Simptoms: travaling at 60Mphs in a straight line, to correct the direction of the car, there is an initial dead zone at the steering wheel of about 30deg before the wheels actually start to turn.

At 60Mph, this just an anoyance, but at 90-100Mph, this gets dangerous as steering corrections take more time and it's prone to beiing over compensated.

I'm use to driving an Acura who's steering is VERY tight. I dont expect to get the same behaviour from the GTA, but the closest I can get to it, the happier I'd be.

So any suggestions as to how I could tighten the slack from 30deg to just a few degrees?

Thanks,
-Jason

you could try checking your rag joint for play, if there is some then you'll need to replace it.
