Let me begin by saying this: Insurance fraud is nothing to fugg with. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, when I was stationed in Camp pendleton, a buddy of mine had "fake" insurance. He would pay for a month and they would issue him a card for like a six month period, assuming he'd pay. He did this with many different companies (about 5 or 6). He was pulled over more than once with me in the car and the cops never questioned the cards. In the end, he did get caught by the military police on base.

really im not too far off pendleton base, lol
thanks for the reply, but the only thing i was wondering is how exactly dont they get caught i always thought cops were connected to a "system" or something of that nature......
and what did the "MPs" do when they found out it was false?

The law states that you must carry proof of current insurance. When I pull somebody over, as long as the date on the insurance has not expired, that's as far as I'll take it. If the cop has some reason to think its fake, all he has to do is get on his cell phone there at the stop and call the insurance company to see if it is current.
And of course, if you get in an accident, you're screwed.

It would take a lot of explaining unless you're familiar with the U.C.M.J. (uniform code of military justice). To make a long story short, they reported him to his chain of command and he was forced to pay all of the back insurance money to the companies (said he had only done that with two companies), lost his rank, and lost some of his pay for a couple of months after he finished paying the people he owed. His commanding officer was going to make him face the Calif court system, but figured it'd give all the Marines a bad name.
