hey guys. im looking into this 86 z28. what are the specs on these cars? how much hp and tq and things like that? and what are known problems that i should look for thanks..

Check this site out. Good information on there for ya. www.musclecarclub.com I have an 83 z-28 and I would wager a guess that the problem people have most is with the early 700r4 transmissions.

2.5 I4 90 bhp.
2.8 V6 135 bhp.
5.0 V8 145 bhp.
L69 5.7 H.O. V8 190 bhp.
5.0 TPI V8 215 bhp.

Rick your info is wrong. The L69 is a 5.0L. The L98 which was the first 350 5.7L to come in these cars didn't appear till 1987

You wanna know the sad part? I have not only looked at that site countless times and overlooked that, but I happen to have a buddy at work with that motor and HE didn't catch that either. Good eye man.
