which other GM vehicles have 700r4?

i bought a 700r4 for my 89 Camaro RS from the junkyard, i have shifting problems so im taking it back on my 30 Exchange policy (pain in the ass) but the yard im going to sold me the last one they had, So i need to know which other vehicles have a 700r4 or a tranny that would bolt up without expensive modifications

any car with a small or bigblock chevy will have a tranny that works.

oh, I assumed V8, don't know much on V6s or the vehicles that had V6s and 700R4s. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Look for Chevy S-10's and GMC S-15's. If they have a 2.8L V6 then you can use it.

i think the only gm cars that didnt have a 700r4 were gbodies and the turbo trans am. and maybe 1 or 2 others.


i know on the 2004r's there is a trottle valve cable that is very picky on how its set. i might be wrong but i think the 700r4's also have a TV cable, and if it did, did you mess with it and maybe screwed the setting up which would cause wierd shifting.
