If a cop was sitting at the town line and I went past the town line but he could still see me, if I go over the speed limit can he come after me in the other town? Or does he have to stay in his town and just do nothing about it?

another question:
If I was to pass a cop and then take off out of sight before he could come get me, if he saw me later could he pull me over for what I had done?

i'm not saying I want to do this, I just want to know what my rights are incase i'm ever pulled over... I want to know if i'm being hassled or not.

I know here they can follow you out of their jurisdiction into the next county/town/city whatever, I'm not sure what their limitations are as far as pulling you over in akward scenarios such as that.

a cop can only pull you over or cite you for something you did in his jurisdiction. say your in cleveland driving the speed limit, then you cross over into lakewood and nail the throttle, the only thing he can do is call lakewood cops. BUT if you nail the throttle 6 inches before the line, he can follow you for a while and pull you then.

im not sure about the second question, but im pretty sure he could pull you (they cal pull you for ANYTHING and get away with it) but if he wrote you a ticket, you could get out of it easily

my brother is an officer in the area of ohio out here if your wondering where im getting my information. plus ive had my fair share of run-ins with the cops and taken law classes to piss them off
