I'm a member of nastyz28.com, i know theres some members who frequent here and told me i should post this here. Anyhow, I work at Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ and I am sponsoring a camaro/firebird vs. mustang event on march 21, 2004. Entry is just $10 race or watch. Heres the general rules. Im sorry if this is not allowed and is considered advertising, if so, mods, feel free to block or erase the post. Like i said, im not familiar with this site, and myself own a 2nd gen.
JGates will open at 8:30, Open Time Trials will be from 10am-1pm and Eliminations will start at 1pm. Eliminations will be run round robin, Camaro or Firebird vs. Mustang until the final or none of one class remains. All 1st round winners receive a trophy, winner of the event receives a 3 foot trophy.
Here's the fine print:
One class, all run
Full Tree
Handicapped (dial-in) race
No electronics
No front or back-halved cars
No caged cars
Roll bars OK
All NHRA safety rules apply
Drivers License Required
Drivers 17 years old must have a parental consent form
Eliminations will be run round robin. That is, once eliminations start, winners must come back immediately to the staging lanes for the next round.
Once eliminations start, there will be no additional time trials allowed without purchasing an afternoon tech card ($25)
