steering column loose where it tilts

Hello,
I noticed one day that there was a squeeking sound coming from my steering column. This went on for about 2 weeks. The steering column gradually became loose where it tilts. The car is an 89 irocz. any suggestions on what to do?

There are 2 bolts that may need to be tightened. This requires tearing down the steering colmn. starting with the steering wheel. The job kind of sucks but it is doable.
