does anybody else have/had this problem?

when i start up the 2.8l in the morning the damn thing rattles like either the rod bearings are bad or the rockers/lifters need oil or the damn thing has no oil in it. this happens every day no matter how cold or hot, what oil and filter I use. It only happens for like 2-3 seconds. any suggestions?(other than puttin in a V-8)

what type of oil filter are you using? it may be draining and letting alltha toil go back in pan so yo have to wait for the ol pump to get pressure.

What Kind of oil / additive? It sounds like you are dry at start-up (not good)... I have a freind with this problem. We replaced his bottom end before long... (sorry).
