What are the specs on cop cars? The crown victoria ones or the impalas? I'm sure it varies, but I'm just curious. Thanks!

I'll try to find the specs online, but the Crown Vic Interceptor is basically the regular Crown Vic, but with a beefed up suspension and true dual exhaust.

To sum it up, our cars are very "beatable", but you just have to ask yourself one question. Is it worth taking the risk? :)

I can tell you for a fact that my impala will do 115 down hill with a tale wind, but unless you have about ten miles of open unobstucted highway ahead of you, I (or my buddies) will get you.

I was just curious because I saw some add in the paper about some police car for sale with an LT1. Cant remeber exactly what it was. No need to out run the cops over here. Im still sitting on no violations ;)

With an LT1? Most likely it's a Caprice or a Camaro. Those were the only packages that had an LT1 police package.

Ahh it must have been a Caprice, that kinda rings a bell. It wasen't a Camaro though. So TC, your a cop right? Do you drive a camaro cop car? :raz:

Nah, I drive a 2002 Crown Vic. We're upgrading next month to the 2004 models, though.

Is the limited-slip differential new for 2004? All of our cars seem to have open diffs. I learned this the hard way when I got stuck one day :o: Our 2004s havent been sent to patrol yet, all we've got right now are 2003s
