I live in NH and i was wondering if a burnout on the school driveway would net me a ticket. On school grounds, a cop cant give you a parking ticket because the school supposedly owns the driveway, however the school is a PUBLIC place... any ideas guys?

thanks

tom

Here in Illinois they give tickets all the time in the school parking lot.. Someone did a nasty smokeshow... got a 55 dollar ticket plus court fees So my answer is YES they can

I can verify that...My buddy got a "squeal tires" and a warning for careless driving and I got served with papers saying I wasn't allowed to come back (after I graduated) after a burnout and some sideways driving....o and not stopping when the security gaurd stepped out in front of me.... it was worth it tho! lol :D :D

p.s. this was in michigan

I just went up to the school here in Oakdale no cars in the parking lot. Its been raning and I wanted to work on straightning the car out when it gets sideways. Anyhow I got cussed out by the some asshole who lived close to the school. Theres nothing that can be done to me later on is there?I live in Tennessee btw.

And getting the car in a slide and straighting it was fun as hell, definetly the most fun i've ever had in the car. Also this is a very un urban un city school theres not even any cops in the town. The school is K-12 and has about 600 people.

yes if you are caught you will most likely get a ticket. just dont get caught.
i did a peg leg burnout on my last day of high school, and didnt get caught. i left my legacy in a long black patch of burnt rubber.

I didn't get caught. But I was wondering if they had it on camrea or something they could do something about it. Also the parking lot was wet so I wasn't doing a burnout, just more or less getting the car to slide and seeing if i could get it to straighten out.

Alright this all basically depends on the school. ive been caught at my highschool where they have multiple cameras focused on the student parking lot maybe 4 or 5 times with my camaro completely sideways (rain or no) :D LOL and that doesnt include the times i wasnt caught. ive been pulled out of class... ive been given detentions .... ive been talked to by our on campus police officer (yes we have one no i dont live in oakland) basically the school doesnt want to go thru the hassle of fineing you or filling out a bunch of paperwork so you have nothing to worry about.

I used to always burnout all around the school when I'd take my parent cars to school, albeit even before I had a license :p

Tho,A friend got caught one day and got a sleu of 6 tickets ranging from careless driving to driving without a license.

It definetly sucked to him that day
