Do you have to have a front license plate on your car? I was told yes by a few people but I see lots of people without them.

I never had one on the front of my TA or my GTA. Never even been pulled over for it in 4 years.

Yes you need one, that is why they give you two. I have been pulled over for not having one on my T/A a few years ago. Not having a front plate is probable cause to pull your car over.

the front end of a trans am/GTA has no place for a license plate though. The only thing you can do is drill holes into the plastic and bend the license plate so it contours to the front of the car.

Cars that were shipped to Ohio or other states with two plate laws had front brackets installed. Other cars shipped to Michigan or Indiana didnt get the bracket. The cop can give you a "fix-it" ticket for not having a front plate or bracket to hold the plate. Autozone, Pep Boys, etc... have the brackets and yes it just bolts right into the front bumper.

great so they expect me to drill holes into my nice front bumper... gee just what i want to do. How do they expect me to use a bracket when the front of my car is a v shape?
