Uh oh! Need advice

Well, got pulled over for speeding in california. I was doing 115, but the guy was cool wrote me up for 80. I was on the 395 in california middle of nowhere and he was really trying to save us because it was late at night and there is a lot of deer and things out therer to hit.. .anyway...

I got the notice from the court, paid the amount of money to go to traffic school via the net... Well, I was uspposed to complete it by January 22nd, and it is now February 23rd!! :eek:

What can I do? Or what should I do? I was going to call them, but its 8 hours away in the snow and I have a feeling they will want me to go to court. Is it considered a Failure to appear? I got one of those once for a FIXIT TICKET, and got ARRESTED from my home!!! If you can believe that. I dont want to go through that again. I just want to get this taken care of. Also I have pretty good reasons that it was put off (liek death in the family, etc...)


Also side note. I am a big guy and the last two days I was driving my girlfriend mitsubishi mirage. Being 6'2" 350lbs That stupid seatbelt doesnt fit at all... I got a ticket for not wearing my belt, can I fight that? "Judge, Im too fat to wear a belt" lmao :D

You'll have to call them. It usually takes about a week here for that to go to warrant, so you have a very small grace period to get it cleared up.

You paid the full fine right? and then a little more to be able to go to traffic school?

that's just to keep the violation off your record. I believe that if you pay the fine, pay for traffic school, and don't go, the violation just goes onto your record. Nobody is gonna drag you out of bed and take you to county.

ok cool thank god lol Yeah i paid the fine +. I was thinking about calling them and saying I never heard back from them, can I resend them the information or something so that I can still do traffic school...
