Oil leak help......

Okay guys, I need some help with an oil leak as I said before. I can not seem to find out where it's coming from. When the engine is running there is a hissing/sucking noise and the oil seems to be coming from on top of the motor, back by the distributor. Does anybody have any idea what this would be from? It's really confusing me and I just don't want to rip the engine out if I don't have to.

might be your oil pressure sender, I believe that it was by the distrib on my old block....

Clean the area off real good and watch when the car is running....could be the intake...oil sending unit....valve covers, even from around the dist.

Well, thanks for the advice, but I found the real cause. The dumb a** who had the car before me forgot to remove the old seal from the engine before he put the new oil filter on! You would be pretty suprised to see how far that stuff can shoot!!!
