radar distance question.

back in october or november i was pulled over by a state trooper. i was speeding, going 69 in a 55. here's my question.

does radar have a range to where the readings may be suspect?

i was roughly 1/4 mile away from the trooper when he claimed he clocked me.

That's not a problem as long as you were the only vehicle in the beam.

According the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) the effective range ofmost radars exceeds half a mile. This information comes directly from my academy training manual from NHTSA.
