Starter Question

An 87 GTA with an L98 350 would have a 153 tooth inline bolt pattern starter wouldn't it? Everybody I asked has said yes. I emailed summit and they replied that I have a staggered bolt pattern and that inline won't work.

Sorry, I never really paid that much attention to the starter.

Just jack the car up and look.

what do you mean by inline? The car has the 153 tooth, EXternally balanced flywheel, with the one piece rear main seal.
