The other night I got a car was being stupid/asshole like to me, so I took umbridge. That was in X town. I had had enough so I left (or tried to) they then followed me. I then get pulled over in another town (with the people still behind me) and my information taken becuase the car wants to file a complaint for road rage against me.. What the hell can I do?!... what happens with this?

Wow. That was bad. I really appologize.

The other night, a chick and 3 passengers in another car were being stipud, acting like assholes to me, so I got into kinda an arguement with them. That happened in X town. I had had enough argueing and left, or tried to, since he followed me and continued followinging me into another town. I got pulled in that town, (the guy was still following me as well,) and the officer took my information because the people in the other car wanted to file a Road Rage complaint against me.

What usually happens with a charge like this?

wouldnt it be your word against theirs? Just tell whoever that you left to end a stupid arguement and they must have wanted revenge to turn you in for something you didnt do. Sounds good to me.

Ah, I see. I would threaten a countersuit for defamation of character and something else scary, and then accuse them of stalking you- they could have easily written down your license plate without following you for X miles.

Nothing will happen. The officer would have to witness the information to write you a ticket because it all happened in another jurisdiction. Now, the people in the other car CAN theoretically go to the municipal court and swear out a traffic citation against you (anybody can do this....not many know about it, though), but then it would be their word against yours in city court and the judge won't know who to believe, so it usually gets dropped anyway.

Thanks TC.

Stupid thing to do on my part, but it was a good wake up call for myself and especially a perticular passenger.

that works in texas?

so if say, i videotaped the person doing the stupid thing, and then did that, could i use the tape as evidence and get the person in trouble? (with the intention of getting them to stop acting like a idiot)
