I Just Got A Gm HT383 truck motor and put a zz4 cam in it. Its 430 hp and 480 tq. I have a q-jet 4 bbl and i only had the single air inlet air cleaner with duct. I purchased a dual inlet air cleaner but i need the ducts. I went to Gm and they cannot get anything like that. I know that somebody else out here has ran into the same problem as me. I dont want to suck in hot underhood air. You Can gain 1% power for every 10 degrees cooler your intake air is. So if i can drop that intake Temp from 250 degrees to 70 degrees I am gaining 22% power. So What Do I Do for Ducts???
Thanks
Brian

Good luck the dual snorkel air cleaner is no longer on the market, check on e-bay or on line, their use to be a site a while back called Iroc Z Dave's he sold stuff for engines such as intake systems for carbs and Tpi setups.

What I did in the past was use two drivers side ducts and flip one over for the pass. side and trim the leading edge to match the other side and fasten it to the core support., There's already places marked for the holes on the pass side of the core support. The duct will be about 1 1/2" shorter than the one on the drivers side but will not be that noticeable.

that link only lets you buy the zz4 engine, the air cleaner comes with it

well, damn, you can't order the parts separately even though the numbers are listed.

That's gay.
