Turbo 400

Hey, I'm looking for some info on swapping a TH-400 into a thirdgen. Ive read somewhere that on a short shafted trans the stock driveshaft will fit? I'm thinking even if that's true, I'm upgrading anyways, but does anyone know the shaft length that's required with a short shafted TH-400? Also, does anyone know where to find the new crossmember? Are there any OEM applications that can be swapped in? Or is it a custom part?
