engine cuts out and dies while accelerating

When accelerating, the starts to cut out, and loose power. Also occasionally dies while accelerating. What could the issue be? when hooked up to a code tester, nothing came up. I have kept up with all general needs for the car. its a 91 camaro, with the V6. Is it the E.C.M going bad? any one with a sujestion, would be very helpful. thankyou.

Sounds like low fuel pressure and/or volume causing it to run out of gas when you hit the go pedal. Check the fuel pressure, and pull a line off at the fuel rail and put it in a cup to see if enough is getting through when you crank it. Lots of different possible causes, but that should put you on the right track.

Just as a shot in the dark, have you changed the fuel filter lately?

Also On my car I had a simular issue. I forgot to hook up the power the the egr sol and that caused the same problem. So check the egr sol. fuel filter/pressure also sounds like a good plan.

Could be the TPS too. Should be .055v. at idle and something like 4v. at WOT.

i actually just finally got it fixed, turned out that one of the injectors leads had come loose. that inturn ended up causing a short, and ruining the ecm in my car. sucks for me. got it fixed though running fine now. thanx for the advice though.
