truthfully, I dunno yet. Met this guy at the body shop and he said a customer of his has a 305 and tranny with 32K sitting in a warehouse. He swapped it for a 350. I haven't checked it out yet, dunno if it's TB or TPI. all i know it's out of an 86 IROC. If i can get it for a fair price i'll take it. If not, I'm saving my money up for a 350. i know it's crazy but I rather have the 305, cuz he's got everything for it and just build off of that(supercharger? lol) Like, i said, i'm not sure yet. I just want to get rid of the six. know anybody that wants one? lol :D

HEHEHE
Hey Erin...you wouldn't be interested in a ZZ1 crate motor with only 6k miles on it now would ya? I have the matching Tranny to go with it too....built TH350 with a 3000k stall.
Probably couldn't have it until July and by then it would have like 7k on it or so...
Just an idea that might work out for the both of us
So leave that little 6 in there till July.
If interested, lemme know. I can spew specs all day.

OK. well I am not positive on the sale yet. It may be easier to just throw some forged parts in this one and call it an engine but if you had interest in the ZZ1, it would deffinately make building my ideal engine much more of a reality.
ZZ1 crate engine. 345hp
Aluminum L98 Heads with D shaped exhaust pots. Same heads on all the ZZ series motors. 58cc combustion chambers
roller hydrualic cam specs at .050'': 235/235 .480/.480 on a 114 LSA. Still pulls more than enough vacuum for power brakes and so on but deffinately likes the 3k stall.
I have a basically brand new edelbrock carb that i could sell with it though I assume you want to go the fuel injection route with the engine.
Hyper Pistons yielding 9.8:1 compression
Forged GM rods
Forged GM crank
4 bolt main roller block
Highish rise carb intake that fits under the stock hood with a dop base aircleaner.
I don't know if you would be interested in the tranny. Depends on how much you drive the car on the highway and how important mileage is. Its a built TH350 with a 3000 rpm stall convertor (B&M or TCI). No OD like the 700R4 which is actually going in the car now because i wanted the extra gear. It does swap right in for a 700R4 though as it has a really nifty spacer built into it. Anyway let me know about this thing. its forsale for sure with or without the engine though.
Hmm...well i can't tell you what I want because I don't know yet. Let me make up a list or two of prices for the engine i want to build and one for upgrading this one with forged pistons and better rods for a forced induction project.
Let me know about what you and Matt and TPI or whomever think the engine might be worth to you. It would help me a lot in deciding what a fair asking price might be...if its too low to make any sense though, i'll probably keep it. I dunno. We can talk lol.

the ZZ1 with with a TPI would be NICE YES.
but the TH350 and 3000 stall for Her daily driver NO.

Yeah i already said I wanted the extra gear myself...but I have a a tranny thats more than capable of standing up to the ZZ1 sitting in my garage, and if she didn't want to go find a 1800 dollar 700R4 to do it, she could say screw it, and have one gear less and a stall convertor for about 450-500 bucks.
So its just more of a decision to make lol. I didn't want it cause I seemed to be doing more highway driving than I thought and 80 miles an hour and 4000 rpm with 3.42s is not exactly "optimal" cruising conditions. However, back when i had just the 2.77s, it was actually pretty good on the highway.
Oh, TPI, the 3000 stall is not a bad thing for the daily driver...the lack of gear yeah, but not the stall. You're just embarassed you rolled backwards down your driveway when you put it in Drive to move it forward. :finger:  LMAO j/k

Daily driver? bwah! I'd prefer a 700-R4.
Dunno what i really want as far as an engine yet. I'm still looking around.
