Got my new headers

Got the SLP 1 3/4 ones used from TPI383's friend. They are the NON air ones and are jet coated. I took the y pipe all apart today and took an SOS pad to them and got all the surface rust off of the stainless steal. I then sprayed everypiece of the y pipe with high temp paint and gave thm to my dad to put in the furnaces at work to cure for 3 hours. They look aweome. All I need is too make up a cat adapter. He had one welded on with another bung for a wide band but I fitted it and it was too short so I grounded off his weld and made it back to origional. I think I got a good deal for 375 bucks. I picked them up so shipping was free also :D

All that is left is get my heads heli-coiled, new springs installed, and maybe do some porting. I am in need of porting the SR too along with getting around a 2200 converter. The guy that I got the SLP's from said thats a good stall since the SR and 219 cam makes the power around there. any more then 2400 he said I am missing out. Need to send my MSD box out and have it looked at. Not working too well. Other then that I am ready to begin the winter teardown

Damm you should have let me cereamic coat the y-pipe then your dad could have baked it for 1hr and it would be good to go.

I will be so pissed if I cant even get in the 12's what do i need to do to get it to even run quick. 103 mph is so slow for the setup. The guy on thirdgen buckeye has an 89 iroc with a 350 afr heads and sr and hes running 12.1 with no tuning. My only differance will be the heads. I'll prob run a 13.6 with the new cam and converter. I give in. LS1 swap

Same combo but Diff heads is a huge Diff.

Ive heard tons of people say the TFS heads for us chevy guys kinda suck. the flow #'s are there but nobody with em can put down good #'s or times. exp compaired to other similar combos with afr's or darts.

but the mustang guys with tfs heads are puting down great #'s and times. go figure..... someone in the tfs company must be a ford person....
