so far this is what my stereo consists of ... 2 4x6 ma audio synergys (these things are ear piercing) .. 2 6x9 fosgates, ran on a 600 watt audiobahn amp... and i have 2 12" jl audio w6's pushed with a 400rms x 2 ma audio amp .. (pushes the jl's from hell).. problem is it doesnt reallie "hit" .. it just kinda rattles everything.. i had one 12" ma audio xl in a s10 that hit harder than these 2 w6's do right now.. the box is just kinda sittin towards the hatchback part but not down in the well part.. would this make a huge difference in the sound if i built a box and had them in the well ? ? ? .. or could i just dynomat everything and it sound 10 times better... right now it just kinda rattles everything in the back and you cant reallie hear it hit inside the car in drivers seat.. unless its rap and i dont reallie listen to much rap... should a build a box ? or dynomat ?

get a bigger amp.

2 4x6 Memphis (222 sony explode), 2 6x9 bazookas (punch 300), 2 10 JL w0's (punch 500x), = severe bass in my formula, the box was custom built to slant towards the front.

Even my punch 500x bridge wont push w3's rather it will just load out as the way you saying it sounds... This is pushed by an Alpine Model 9815 65 watts a chan.

what is the amount of airspace in the box???
im thinkin that is your problem.JL speakers usually take alot of airspace.
