Muffler is shot if not near falling off but surprisingly the midpipe is clean. The Fall Classic is coming up and its time to make a decision. Keep it stock or go with a flowmaster, stock class or street class? Looks like maybe the flow will win out but I'm still wavering. :conf:

i say keep it stock too. You haven't changed anything else on your car right? Why forfeit stock class with a muffler change. I think keeping the car in stock class is more impressive but that's just my opinion.

I'd say stock as well. The Flowmaster could be the beginning of that dreaded performance bug that plagues some of us.

HAHAHA, good one Jay, my LO3 being opted out for performance.
The muffler fell off tonight while taking a rising curve at a slightly;) high speed. Just for shits and giggles I went into classic chevy earlier today for a price....220 bucks for a muffler and pipes. They must be made with real gold. I may run down to summit. Anyone here good with a torch as I'll need to get the inlet of the muffler taken out from the midpipe?
Out of curiosity, did anyone else have problems getting into 3GO today? I couldn't get on here all day.

I figured the stock replacement would be very expensive.

Going through chevy, I knew it would. I'm sure with auto zone, etc., it'll be less if I go that route.

If your going to do it do it right. Autozones crap out in 2 years, are 16 bucks and sound like crap. The whole catback on my moms maxima went and my dad was used to the origional SS catback nice and quiet, he called midas and the guys like if you want quiet get OEM, ours will rust out in about 1-2 years and wont sound the same. Needless to say Northcoast Nissan got 650 bucks form us for a new resonator midpipe another resonator, over axle pipe and muffler
