Is pretty damn good. Everyone in the shop is friendly, the people I work with are cool. My job is pretty easy, its amazing how easy some of this stuff is. I regret ever paying anyone to do anything to my cars.

Right now I do oil changes and scheduled checkups and the like. While that might seem boring, usually most of the cars I work on are 10 yrs or more old, so you run into some new crap to learn every day. For example, tomorrow I will be looking forward (not) to doing my 3rd drum brake replacement this week. Drum brakes are a pain! I am looking forward to the day when I do some major engine work...

Glad to see that your transition to the other coast and some new faces is going well. A big difference from just a few months ago. Finding your niche within the force is probably tough but having more amiable people around you now seems to be making a difference. Keep the positive attitude, learn all that you can cause they can't take that away from you and things will go well.

How's your car running BTW? You had concerns before leaving here.

Are both of you in the AF? Where at by Lake Erie are you My1stCamaro92RS? I was just up there last week for a job interview in Toledo Thursday and went to Put In Bay Friday. I am at the Springfield ANG Base. I also applied for a job in Port Clinton.

Welcome to our side of 3GO though I see you've been registered for a couple of months. Myself, I'm in Painesville, 30 miles east of Cleveland. Brian, 2camaros is the Air Force mechanic now stationed in Dover. What kind of jobs you applying for since they all seem to be near the lake, fisherman? :D

You want to see some PITA drum brakes, do a 1-ton truck's. First step is to remove the axles! Then, when the stupid little clips pop off the sticks, the shoes try to come off with the drums and get jammed. I don't do them any more. It's worth the money to avoid the aggravation.

Just pretty much admin and personnel. Anything I can get full time AGR right now would be kick ass, but technician status would be good too. I have been in over 3 years now, enlisted as a weapons guy 2W1x1, and transferred to the orderly room here for Admin 3A0x1. In the past month I have been to Columbus once, Mansfield 2x, Springfield 2x, Toledo 1x, and I have about 6 more apps in right now, 1 in Port Clinton, 3 here, 2 in Blue Ash and 1 more in Columbus. I have to go today to get a new wiring harness from JEGS after I get off work for my 350.

Welcome to the board, yep I am stuck in Dover, DE.

My trade is GP vehicle mechanics. So far, so good, although I am beginning to wish I went guard or reserve. I can see that fixing cars for the next 4 will get old after a while, especially with the same people.
