Caught the end of the game, after hitting the grocery store due to the lackluster play in the first half. Just about died as Couch completed the winning TD with time expired. Back to a half game behind Pittsburgh since Maddox couldn't get the job done against Houston.

I left with who knows how many minutes left figuring it was a lost cause. I'm in the hardware store picking up more stuff for the outside lights and the store has the game on the radio. The announcer is giving his gloom and doom report if Couch doesn't make a touchdown...the play proceeds and this guy starts screamin about the pass and the reception. The store went crazy... With the steelers loss, there's still hope. Couch pulled off another heart-stopper to say the least. Cardiac kids....

I missed the second half, had a concert that started at 4 PM. They may get in the playoffs, but there is not much hope of any team in our division going anywhere, we're just not up to the level of the stronger divisions. If it wasn't for last week though, we'd be in first place. I'm not totally sold on Tim yet, but between him and Kelly we have a better QB situation than PGH.

Unbelievable! But to be frank, very very lucky!
We caught the end of the game on the radio in the car and Missy and I just looked at each other in stunned disbelief. What a sloppy game.
Did anyone else notice how sloppy the refereeing was??? Blatant holds on both teams were overlooked several times... I'm talking total take-downs and tackles. We also benefitted from some very timely "slips" by the defense.
Gotta wonder about some of the play calling on the offensive side of the ball, though. It's been going on all year and at times it's quite, well, offensive! Tim Couch throwing nothing but 5 yard passes is not going to get us far - we are simply not stretching the defense effectively. Looks like we found a running game, but for Pete sake, don't fall in love with it and run on EVERY DOWN!!! This is not college any more, folks.
All that aside, if this team (and coaching staff) ever put forth a consistent effort, it's scary to think about what they might accomplish. They seem to always play to the level of the competition.
Despite the fact that Tim completed the lucky "Hail Mary", I don't think he's the answer. Too inconsistent and too often cannot hit the target (overthrew a TD on the first posession).
Like Rob mentioned, it looks like a return of the cardiac kids... But as fish mentioned, we would have no chance in post-season play.

The Browns were the talk at work but the Steelers had more people talking. To get beat that bad by Houston...to allow a team that had only 47 yards total offense to beat you that bad...to have 20-some first downs, 40 minutes of ball control and to get beat that bad...it went on and on. Smiles around at work today to say the least
