Totally unsuspecting of what to expect, I was called into my boss's office today at MBNA. There with him were some of the department managers/supervisors and all congratulating me on a continuing job well done. The boss smiling, looks at me and says that this is the best part of his job and handed me a card which told of my new promotion/grade...and a nice raise beginning with today's paycheck. :D Five and half years here in Cleveland and I've yet to regret moving here. Good times, good friends...like it says, it doesn't get any better than this.

First off, the house is screamin for repairs and remodeling. Anyone good at drywall/plumbing/electricity/everything? LOL

I'm probably best at electrical. Had to replace the motor in the smaller furnace this weekend. A million things are in need everywhere. Once the house is paid for (soon), I'm gonna have to do a real overhaul.

Good luck with that repair stuff, Rob... I have plenty to do, myself - the wife keeps me busy (and broke).
Unfortunately for me, my job outlook is pretty bleak right now. They just announced that we will be shut down for the last two weeks of December, and they're forcing us to use our vacation days. I had 4 full days of vacation from last year I was going to cash in for Christmas spending, but we're told there is no money to do so, so I lose. :(
Well, the wife is working more hours, so she's buying things for the house to keep me busy those two weeks.
I'd be glad to give you pointers, if you wish, but time is just not there for personal appearances, lol.

Sorry to heat that Mark. Good thing we have wives, always finding things for us to do to keep our minds off our worries...

Yeah, gotta love the wives... after all we said we would, eh?
Lol - just kidding. I'm very fortunate, myself. My wife is the greatest, particularly when things get tough like this. Wouldn't have it any other way...

Sounds like both our wives came from the same mold then...."in good times and bad, for better or worse..."
She's the encouragement I need whem things go sour.

My wife Mary is like that too...always there when the chips are down and really makes the good times even better.
