Off to Florida

My grandmother's health is failing and I'm driving down to see my family. I tried to get a camaro from the rental place but all they had were fords. See ya'll in a week or so.

I got home last night...2700 miles I put on the rental Cavalier :D I guess you could say I got my money's worth. Though I knew what to expect when getting there, it was tough going at the hospital and at my parent's house. She was a young 98 and she'll be greatly missed. For such a small woman, she could give the biggest hugs. :(

The trip itself was truely beautiful though. I've never driven further south than Columbus and was driving in awe at how beautiful of a country we live in. I loved the hills of WV and VA and the trees were turning color in VA and NC adding to the majestic views. SC and south, well it could have been Ohio save for the trees and palms as everything is flat off to the side of the interstates I drove.

The trip down was hurried but the return trip I made adventures into St Augustine, into Georgia for a lighthouse and AAF Museum and stopped at Pilot Mountain in NC. That was a view to behold when atop that. Some photos of the trip...
