First off my Throttle cable is too long. When I floor it the blades only open a little. Second. Mt front elbow is really crunched. Third My iac connector isnt that long. 4th. Its so high that I cant use my STB unless i go back to OEM motor mounts. 5th it hits the hood :(

Well, I would imagine there must be some way to adjust the cable. Would shorter motor mounts also allow you to clear the hood?
Are you using solid steel mounts right now?

That's wierd, the only problem I recall GMHTP had when they installed the SR on their '89 Formula was the elbow but I'll dig up the issue and double check.

The only problems I had were the wiper motor and the elbow. Unfortunatly I think for starters your going to have to lose the motor mounts and see what happens from there. If you have any more questions or what to see how mine looks in the car shoot me a email

I hope you can get it to clear the stock hood. Gotta keep that sleeper look.
Which cable bracket are you using? The stock one, the one that was mounted on the SR, or the one that came with the SR in the baggy, with all the bolts/fittings? See if any of them are different. That could be a possibility!

I was just thinking that last night layin in bed. I'll try and see what works. I'm using the one bolted already to the SR. I'll try the other too. I am also rigging up a new elbow from a 4th gen. Its a little short but I think I know of a way I can make it work ;)
