How hard is it to change my own springs and shocks? i am trying to mod my car on a budget and enjoy workimg on it but am new to this game. dont know too much about this stuff. it doesnt seem like it will be too hard. how bout installing a energy suspension poly bushing kit. is this a good kit? the IROC isnt my daily driver and will be sleeping this winter so i will have plenty of time. thanks

The shocks are very easy nothing to it. The struts take a little more work but you can do it yourself.

Me and a friend installed my Eibach springs and Koni shocks on my car in about 3 hours... it is easy !!! .... just be sure to use some medium grade thread lock on the front strut bolts ( the 2 big ones on the lower part of each strut)

did you use a lift, or jackstands? hows that setup, it lowers the car about an inch right. thats the one i was looking at and what shocks did you get, the reds or yellows?

It claims to lower the front 1" and the rear 3/4"... they are the pro springs... do not get the sport springs!!! they are sloppy... I also got the Koni yellows... THEY ARE BAD ASS...5 way adjustable..... huge difference... they are stiffer than the reds and summit racing has a good price on them my total was $567.43.... I have the front set on 75% and the rear on 50%... I love'em....the front was the hardest.. we jacked the car up in the front and put jack stands under both sides on frame rail.... then used the jack to compress the spring.... be careful removing the old ones you'll have to dodge the spring..... the shocks are easy...... the rear was the quickest... jacked rear of car and put stands under frame rails.... unbolted bottom bolt on shocks... used jack under rear to let tension out.... fold your back seat down to access the top shock bolts (lift up carpet at corners of seat... pull up little foam pads) ... new springs go in easy..... BE SURE TO SET THE REAR SHOCKS BEFORE INSTALLATION.... ITS A BITCH AFTER YOU GET THEM ON..... good luck... and dont forget ... those Koni's have a LIFETIME WARRANTY.... keep your receipt
