What would be a good cam for an 87 350 tpi...with 52mm plenum, tb, and runners...stage 4 chip...flowmaster exhuast... edelbrock headers...msd ignition(if that matters) and i think thats about it. The reason i ask is becuase i have heard that u have to get perfect cam with tpi motors and i figured what better place to find out what it would be then on 3rdgen.com Thanks for any help u can give me...

I think you are not going to be pleased with the power increase you will get from a cam swap with a TPI intake. I would suggest a Stealth ram or an LT1 intake prior to a cam swap. Your intake is already maxxed out with your current (stock) cam, it IS the restriction. I know you have runners but the plenum and base will still constrict your performance.
You really can't get too crazy on stock programming either. The only thing a big cam is going to do is hurt your low end torque which is all your TPI has going for it. It all needs to work together, and I think your money would be better spent on an intake.

LT1 intake + machine work - 300

LT4 HOT cam w/ springs and RRs - 450

= Nice HP increase
