It's a Cherry Bomb Vortex w/ chrome tips. Still in great shape and it's free.

Ed's looking for a muffler. He may be especially attracted by the price!

HEY! while we're on the topic of mufflers and such I have a question. I've been throwing the idea around about possibly upgrading my exhaust. Hence, I only have a 3.1L there's not too much to offer. However, i just read a thread at the V6 forum(i believe) that I can buy hedders for a 3.4L engine and they fit my 3.1. The only thing I'd have to do is fabricate a Y pipe. We'll i was just thinking ;) screw the Y pipe and just put dual exhaust. Is something like that possible? i know it wouldn't really wouldn't help my performance but do you think it make the car sound better? Not saying I'm up to doing all this but just an idea.
Here's another question. Dynomax or Flowmaster? What's your opinion on those brands.

 I'd wait for the 8 before you started doing this. My exhaust alone costed me about 1000 bucks. 313.99 for headers. 240 something for jethot coating, 100 bucks for a new cat and 300 for the catback system. For a less then a grand you could have a used 350 tpi in your engine bay.

JaysZee - I guess you had to leave as no-one was home so I just grabbed the muffler. Ed was very happy to see it when I got home. We probably need to get a new intermediate pipe for him and he'll have a complete exhaust. Thanks a bunch. Hope to see you at Ananbelles if you make it out there.
Erin - I think a true dual on a 3.1 or any V6 would be kind of nuts. Acutally the Y-pipe is not all bad even for a V8. If you were gonna keep the V6 the headers might not be a bad idea, but if you are getting a crate engine, they'd be a waste. One of the guys on RedLineVSix is working on swapping a 3.4 into a 3rd Gen. Once my '01 is out of warranty I may consider getting the RKSport headers for the 3.8. Only then I'd want a complete exhaust and supercharger...

Ya, sorry about that. There was a problem with one of the lathes at work so I had to run down there and get everything back online. Glad to hear Ed is happy with the muffler. Hopefully I'll have the exhaust on the Z by Saturday for Annabelles.

The muffler looks good... Wondering if it would work alright with the stock intermediate pipe or that needs upgrading. I'm just not sure what kind of I.D. the stock pipe maintains, but if it's less than 2.5" it should probably go.

Ed got the muffler welded on Friday, and OH MY, I think the LG4 sounds like a V8 with headers now!
